About

Indian Lake Baptist Church has been serving the Worthington area since 1873. Founded by Swedish immigrants, the congregation has grown by the grace of God to include believers from all around the world.

Values & Culture

Here at Indian Lake, you’ll find friendly people, an encouraging message, uplifting music, and great activities for all ages.

We have been called by God to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to make disciples of all people, at home and abroad. We seek spiritual growth through worship, learning, service, witness, support, and fellowship.

It’s God’s Word that shapes the way we believe, live, and worship, so you can expect to find a strong emphasis on the Bible at Indian Lake Baptist Church.

Some of our core beliefs:
-The Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is the supreme authority for all matters.
-There is one living and one true God, eternally existing in three persons: God, Jesus Christ, & Holy Spirit.
-All men are sinners by nature and choice.
-Those who repent of their sins and trust Jesus as Savior are saved.
-Christians should live for the glory of God and seek to maintain the well-being of others.

Our church is happy to welcome the Karen people from Burma to our community. Many have come here and have seen the importance of finding a place to worship.

God desires a relationship with you!
Each of us has questioned why am I here on earth and feel that there is something missing in our life. You have maybe turned to family, friends, boyfriends and girlfriends to find out what that something is, but you still feel a void. The Bible tells us that God desires a relationship with us. He wants us to know him, love him, and have a personal relationship with him. The Bible also tells us that God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins because he loves us. It is the love of God, that personal relationship with HIM, that fills the void for Christians. God makes each of us complete.
