Visit

Hello

We understand that first visits can sometimes be uncomfortable, but we want you to feel welcome and at home when you join us on a Sunday, so we’ve attempted to answer a few common questions. Here’s what you can expect on Sundays.

When should I arrive?

Our Sunday Morning Worship Service begins at 10:30am, but we invite you to arrive a few minutes early to enjoy a cup of coffee and a snack where you can meet some of our members. Also, Sunday School starts at 9:15am and is for adults and children of all ages.

Where should I go?

Our services are held at 31141 Roberts Avenue (click here for directions). There’s plenty of parking and we have wheelchair access into the sanctuary if needed. Every Sunday, greeters will be standing by to help guide you.

What should I wear?

You’ll find that our congregation is a mix of Sunday formal, casual and Karen traditional clothing. We’re a church for people from all walks of life. Please wear whatever is most comfortable for you.

What happens at the Morning Worship Service?

Every Sunday, for about an hour, we sing songs together, we pray for the needs of the church and it’s missionaries, we hear the Bible preached, and we partake in communion on the first Sunday of the month. Also, we have special music sung by the choir or by one of the many Karen groups.

We invite you to come a few minutes early in order to enjoy a cup of coffee and a snack in the Fellowship Hall — this is a great way to get to meet the people of Indian Lake Baptist.

Do you have childcare during services?

We currently do not have a staffed nursery for toddlers along but do have a dedicated room (unstaffed) for mothers to take their babies.
